Psychic readings can come in many different types. There are people who conduct readings by using a variety of tools such as tarot cards, runes and many others. There are ten major types of psychic readings. These include astrology, numerology, palmistry, psychometry, rune reading, card/tarot reading, aura reading, distant reading, cleromancy and lithomancy/crystallomancy. A brief description will be provided for each so you have a fair idea of what they are about.
Astrology is the most common type of reading which is based on the alignments of the planets, the sun, the moon and the stars.
Numerology is based specifically upon numerical values usually related to the birth date of the individual.
Palmistry or palm reading foretells one’s future based upon the shapes and lines found in the palm.
Psychometry obtains information and details about a particular person by coming in contact with their meaningful possessions. Psychometry is often useful in locating missing persons.
Rune reading uses the ancient alphabet, now carved in tiles, for fortune-telling and for creating magic and spells.
Card reading or cartomancy, obviously, uses a deck of cards for divination and for fortune-telling. Tarot reading is a very good example of card reading.
Aura reading is the interpretation of aura or the luminous energy that surrounds a person.
Distant reading is clairvoyant readings conducted through letters, emails and online chatting.
Cleromancy involves throwing of small things and provides reading based on the orientation or position of the casted objects.
Lithomancy uses gems and stones to provide a reading while crystallomancy uses a quartz crystal ball, which is typically found in a fortune-telling gypsy.
